Kansas to perform at Stephens Auditorium May 3

One of America’s iconic classic rock bands, Kansas, will  perform in Ames at Stephens Auditorium on May 3. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 23 at 10 am. and can be purchased at the Iowa State Event Center Ticket Office Monday – Friday, noon – 6 p.m.;  online at https://www.ticketmaster.com; or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. 

Kansas has an impressive catalog that includes 15 studio albums and five live albums, including three sextuple-Platinum albums (“Leftoverture,” “Point of Know Return,” “Best of Kansas”), one platinum live album (“Two for the Show”), and two one million-selling gold singles, “Carry On Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind.” The band has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. In 2016, the band released “The Prelude Implicit,” its 15th studio album.

The band is currently comprised of original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist/vocalist Billy Greer, keyboardist David Manion, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist David Ragsdale, guitarist Zak Rizvi, and original guitarist Richard Williams.
