Vinyl Theatre hits Vaudeville Mews Thursday night
Indie rockers Vinyl Theatre kick off a 30-date U.S. tour at Vaudeville Mews Thursday night. Doors open at 6 p.m., and showtime is 6:30 p.m.
While not yet a household name, the Milwaukee-based trio has been busy building a name for themselves in recent years, landing premium support slots with the likes of Twenty One Pilots, Misterwives, Dashboard Confessional, Panic! At The Disco, The Mowgli’s and others.
Coming off of their last album, “Fueled By Rame,” the band decided it was time to be open to more creative possibilities than they previously would have thought fit with their vision. Creatively revitalized and feeling free to explore and create music that is boundless, they wrote songs that may be a longer extension from their previous sound than many artists are willing to take. The first release of 2018, “Feel It All,” will include a larger incorporation of programming and synthetic sounds. While still fully “Vinyl Theatre,” it is an exciting, aggressive, anthem that pushes outside of the traditional ‘bass, guitar, and drums’ alternative band.
