Cadi B coming to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Friday
Fesh off collecting six trophies at the Billboard Music Awards Wednesday night, Cardi B is preparing to give Central Iowa a hip-hop dog walking this Friday night — in a good way, that is — when red-hot rapper hits the stage at Wells Fargo Arena.
The rapper made headlines earlier this year when she and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren engaged in a Twitter spat over a governmental shutdown in which Cardi B fired back, “Leave me alone I will dog walk you.” Tough stuff.
On the music front, Cardi B has earned three No. 1 singles in her career, including “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It,” and “Girls Like You,” a collaboration with Maroon 5. Her 2018 debut studio album, “Invasion of Privacy,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and Time magazine named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with performance time set for 7 p.m.
Prepare to walk the dog, Des Moines. Cardi be coming to town.
