Vince Gill announces Des Moines Civic Center tour stop

Country music star Vince Gill announced an 18-date summer tour Tuesday, and one of the stops will be at the Des Moines Civic Center on July 22.

Tickets go on-sale to the public Friday, March 25 at 10 am. Tickets can be purchased at DMPA.org, by phone at (515) 246-2300 or in-person at the Civic Center Ticket Office.

It is the first time Gill has toured with his solo band since 2019. Featured on the tour will be vocalist Wendy Moten, who has most recently become known for her performances on NBC’s The Voice in 2021. Moten has toured with Gill as a harmony singer for several years. In addition to Moten, also joining Gill on stage will be Paul Franklin (steel), Billy Thomas (drums), Jimmy Sloas (bass), and John Jarvis (keyboards).
