Brooks & Dunn, Nelly added to State Fair lineup
Iowa State Fair Grandstand Concert Series added two more acts to the 2022 lineup in legendary country duo Brooks & Dunn, and rap star Nelly.
The freshly-reunited Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will hit the stage on Friday, Aug. 12, while Nelly will perform on Saturday, Aug. 13.

Brooks & Dunn first performed in the early 90s as an opener for country greats like Randy Travis, Lee Roy Parnell, Faith Hill and Trace Adkins. Now a main stage act, they have climbed the country music charts with 23 career chart toppers and 30 million albums sold. Artists Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn make up the best-selling country music duo in country music history. It has been over 12 years since they have performed at the Iowa State Fair.
Cornell “Nelly” Hayes is the second highest selling hip hop artist of all times. He has sold over thirty-five million records world-wide and been awarded three American Music Awards, four number one albums, five number one singles and three Grammys. 2022 will be his FIRST time performing at the Iowa State Fair. With 10 years in the game and 10 million albums sold, R&B artist Ginuwine is as hungry as ever, yet grateful for what he’s accomplished. In 2021, Ginuwine received the Urban Music Icon Award at the Black Music Honors.
