DSM Symphony to feature “The Classic Hits of Motown”
The Des Moines Symphony continues its 2017-2018 80th Season with New Year’s Eve Pops: “The Classic Hits of Motown” at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 at the Des Moines Civic Center (221 Walnut St., Des Moines). Ring in the New Year with the classic sounds of Motown featuring award-winning vocal group Spectrum. You’ll hear all your favorite Motown hits – from “Under the Boardwalk” to “Soul Man” and more – backed by the full orchestral power of your Des Moines Symphony.
When: Sunday, Dec. 31 8 p.m.
Where: Civic Center, 221 Walnut Street Des Moines
Tickets: $35-90 through dmsymphony.org (up until two hours prior to performances) and at the Civic Center Ticket Office (515.246.2300, 221 Walnut Street, Des Moines; open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and two hours prior to performances). Ticket prices are subject to a $5 increase on the day of the concert.
