Dichiera off to a busy musical start in 2019
Melissa Jane Dichiera is starting 2019 strong. The Melbourne, Australia, native recently performed with her band Lady Zep — an all-female tribute band to Led Zeppelin — at the famous Santa Fe Swap Meet, in Santa Fe, California, and on Jan. 22, her band SYNN performed at the Viper Room in Los Angeles.
Dichiera has been building her career in the U.S. with Lady Zep, Final Gravity and SYNN, the latter of which released its album, “Venom” (mixed by John Kurzweg) in 2017. She is set to release her next album with Final Gravity in late October 2019 called “Surviving Humanity.”
Trained in opera, contemporary, blues, gospel, pop and rock, Dichiera combines her powerful voice with a captivating stage presence to create a unique “front-woman” unlike anyone else on the scene today. Dichiera she made her first T.V. appearance at the age of 7 and hasn’t stopped performing since. She has performed in numerous bands and shows throughout Australia and was most recently recognized for fronting the pop R&B group Les BiJioux in Japan, hosting the T.V. show “X-Beyond Surf” on ESPN International, and starring on VH1’s “Rock N Roll Fantasy Camp Season 2.”
