Dierks Bentley tops Country Albums chart with “The Mountain”

Dierks Bentley grabbed the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart this week following the release of his latest album, “The Mountain,” on Capitol Records Nashville. The album sold 102,000 units in the first week of release. “The Mountain” is Bentley’s seventh No. 1 album, and marks the highest debut sales of his career. Bentley co-wrote 10 of the album’s 13 new tracks.

The Arizona native has amassed more than 1 billion digital streams, numerous nominations from the ACM, CMA and Billboard Music Awards, as well as 13 Grammy nominations — including at least one stemming from each of his last six albums.
