Hoyt Sherman Place box office to re-open Monday
Historic Hoyt Sherman Place announced the re-opening of its box office beginning this Monday, June 1 at 10 a.m. for in-person transactions. The venue has been shut down since the novel Covid-19 virus began making its way across the globe in March.
The re-opening will come with additional precautions for the venue’s staff and patrons, a press release stated. When on site, patrons are asked to take note of signage and new protocols that have been enacted to keep all parties as safe as possible. No other areas of the venue will be available at this time.
Extra precautionary measures have been taken, said venue officials, and include:
-Ensuring staff members are healthy and symptom-free at the beginning and end of every shift.
-Continuing extensive safe sanitation practices to ensure the safety of the customers and staff.
-Cleaning and sanitizing all common areas at regular intervals throughout each day.
-The Box Office lobby will require patrons to follow the 6-foot social distance guideline, marked with spots on the floor, with a maximum of five people allowed in the lobby at the same time.
-Hand sanitizer will be provided for customers to use.
-Patrons are asked to minimize contact as much as possible during transactions and all purchases are preferred to be made by credit/debit cards at this time, with no signing necessary by the buyer.
-Staffers will be wearing masks, and patrons are encouraged to wear them as well.
-Customers will not be allowed out of the box office lobby. This includes not being permitted to go upstairs to look at the theater seats prior to purchase.
-Bathrooms will be unavailable at this time. Please plan accordingly.
