Jack Tempchin to be inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame in June
Multi-platinum songwriter Jack Tempchin will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this June in New York City during a celebration that will include fellow inductees Cat Stevens, John Prine, Tom T. Hall, Dallas Austin and Missy Elliott, who is the first female hip-hop artist to ever win the prestigious honor.
“I am thrilled to be accepted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame,” Tempchin said. “All my life, I’ve always looked forward to the next great song I was going to hear that would move me and make my day. To join the ranks of the people who wrote those songs is a great honor.”
Tempchin’s songwriting resume is an impressive one, and includes the Eagles’ “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and“Already Gone,” co-writing credits with with Glenn Frey on “The One You Love,” “Smuggler’s Blues,” “You Belong To The City” and “Sexy Girl,” “Slow Dancing” and many others.
