Kip Moore scores fourth No. 1
Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Kip Moore is celebrating his fourth career No. 1 today with his single “More Girls Like You” landing the top spot on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase Country Airplay chart. Co-written by Moore, alongside Steven Olsen, Josh Miller and David Garcia, the anthemic track instantly engaged fans and country radio, as well as offered a “sonic clue” (Rolling Stone) as the lead track taken from his recently-released and critically-acclaimed third studio album “Slowheart.”
“I found a lot of peace in staying authentic to my own true feelings as a person and my music,” said Moore. “I’ve always believed that magic can truly happen once you tap into the core of who you are and what you feel. To see that music resonate and this song ultimately reach No. one is far beyond what I imagined. I’m so thankful to my team, everyone at country radio and the fans for getting behind this song, we couldn’t have done it without you all.”
With no signs of slowing down this year, Moore will also hit the road with Randy Rogers and Wade Bowen for a limited run this December as part of a special solo acoustic stint dubbed “Tall Tales and the Truth Tour.” The singer/songwriters will take the stage together each night, performing and sharing the intimate stories behind their songs, for a one-of-a-kind experience. Kicking off in Denver, Colorado on Dec. 7, they will also stop in Lincoln, Nebraska (Dec. 8), Washington D.C. (Dec. 14) and wrap in New York City on Dec. 14. Tickets will go on sale starting 10/27 at 10 a.m. CDT here.
Moore has hit his stride with his already-revered “thoroughly vital, 13-song collection” (NPR) and 3rd studio album,”Slowheart.” The release follows the acclaim that surrounded his sophomore album “Wild Ones” heralded as “an impressively singular release from Music Row” by The Guardian. Moore first turned heads with his debut album, “Up All Night,” which was recently certified double-platinum by the RIAA and spawned three No. 1 singles, including gold-certified “Beer Money,” platinum-certified “Hey Pretty Girl,” and the double-platinum breakout hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck.” Moore, who has trail-blazed his own path with his reputation-making live show kicked off his headlining “Plead the Fifth” this past weekend and will make stops in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Oct. 26), Grand Rapids, Michigan (Oct. 27) and Cincinnati, Ohio (Oct. 28) this weekend.
