Security tightened for Bob Dylan show
The Iowa State Center has announced additional security measures will be in place for the Oct. 24 performance of Bob Dylan at Stephens Auditorium. Patrons will be subject to wand searches and bag checks. Patrons who refuse to be searched will not be allowed into the venue and will forfeit their ticket.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. – 90 minutes before show time – providing that sound check is complete. The list of prohibited items include the following: firearms, knives, chains, studded bracelets, hard containers, laser pointers, professional cameras, hairspray, pepper spray, mace or any aerosol as well as outside food and beverage. Other items may also be deemed unacceptable by venue personnel. Patrons will be able to return to the venue after disposing of prohibited items outside of the venue.
To combat ticket scalping and reselling, all orchestra pit and rows 1-10 ticket holders must present identification and credit card used to purchase tickets to pick up these tickets at Will Call. These tickets will be available beginning at 6 p.m. at a ticket trailer located in the courtyard at the north entrance of the venue. Once Will Call tickets are picked up, ticket holders will be taken directly into the venue.
The Iowa State Center will also be asking ticket holders to enter specific doors based on ticket locations in order to streamline the search and entry process. See ticket locations and entrance locations below.
