Tool coming to Wells Fargo Arena May 17
Grammy Award-winning alt-metal group Tool will be coming to Iowa this summer, it was announced this morning.
The Maynard James Keenan-fronted band will make a stop at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on Friday, May 17. Tickets, priced from $49.50 to $125, go on sale Friday, March 15 at 10 a.m. through Hy-VeeTix.com, 844-55-HYVEE, the Arena Box Office or any Des Moines/Ames Hy-VeeTix.com location. The opening act has yet to be announced.
The news comes on the heels of rumors surrounding the completion of a much-anticipated new album from the band as well, the follow-up album to 2006’s “10,000 Days.” A new photo from the band taken in a recording studio, shows members of Tool alongside producer/engineer Joe Barresi and mastering engineer Bob Ludwig, leading to speculation that an announcement is on the way.
